Allegiant Air (Las Vegas) will start Myrtle Beach-Huntington, WV twice-weekly service starting on 30 April 2009.In addition,the company will also start MYR-Allentown flights starting on 3 May 2009.

Allegiant Air reported preliminary passenger traffic results for May 2009 including a 25.8% increase in passengers carried.
The airline recorded 381,141,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), up 23.9% from May 2008's figure of 307,656,000. The airline increased the capacity by 22.9%, creating 420,546,000 available seat miles (ASMs) compared with last May's 342,140,000 ASMs.
